Thiruvananthapuram: The ‘Seamless Medical Intervention for Lifecare and Emergency’ (Smile) project of Kerala Police will bring down accident death rate in state, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.Speaking after launching the project, Chandy said that the government would extend all support to the project. \r\nA joint initiative of Home and Health Departments, ‘Smile’ involves providing training to traffic policemen in first aid and accident emergency care. The medicines and other equipment for the project will be supplied by the Health Department. Training will be given to traffic personnel, battalion personnel and local police in phases. |
