Helicopter Used duringEmergency Drill at Huli Wanda Plaza in Xiamen


On 27th June, Xiamen held an emergency drill on fire defense as a means to enhance the city’s emergency response capabilities. 686 people from 18 emergency units took part in the event, and a helicopter and 39 rescue vehicles were dispatched during the emergency drill. The emergency drill was jointly held by the Xiamen Peace Commission and the Huli district government. It was carried out at Huli Wanda Plaza on 27th June with more than 2,000 people being evacuated from Wanda Square. 

During the drill, staff at Wanda Square dialed 119 and 110 as soon as they discovered the fire, and Xiamen rescue teams responded quickly. The drill took 40 minutes, and during that time 6 trapped people were rescued safely and more than 2,000 people were evacuated.
