Madurai: Whenever a child falls into an open bore-well, the first emergency call is made to the fire and rescue services. And, the first person the fire and rescue services personnel turn to is M Manikandan, a 43-year-old college professor who runs the Madurai Rescue Team.
The robotic arms, or ’bore-well robot’, developed by Manikandan and 2 of his friends has also been used outside Tamil Nadu. |
